19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging year, winning just one match at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
The win also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving play style and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted some to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was over.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play positively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet rescued four early-game break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
